The Esmeralda is a steel-hulled four-masted barquentine tall ship of the Chilean Navy. Construction began in Cádiz, Spain, in 1946, but she wasn't launched until 1953. She has an overall length of 113 M, a beam of 13.11 M, a draft of 7 M, and a displacement of 3,754 tons. Her sister ship is the training ship for the Spanish Navy, the four-masted topsail schooner Juan Sebastián Elcano.
