Thanks for visiting my PBase site and leaving some nice comments on my pictures. You have some wonderful shots of Cape Breton here as well. We have visited Cape Breton on a number of occasions, as well. A good friend of ours came from Big Bras d'Or, and we visited her family there on a number of occasions. We have also done the Cabot Trail and Highway 4, spent time at Dundee Resort and travelled across the lake from Dundee to Baddeck. Beautiful area of the country, for sure.

I am helping lead a 4H group fr Manitoba and we are headed to Mabou, Cape Breton this summer. If C.B. is half as beautiful as these pictures, we are in for a trip of a lifetime!!

I came here to River Bourgeois Cape Breton, to deliver Christmas gifts to my grandchildren 7 years ago. When it came time to go back to Toronto, I felt ill. 6 months later everything I owned in Ontario was sold or on a truck destined for the only place I have ever felt was home. Cape Breton gets into your soul. I have never felt so relaxed, happy, satisfied and even alive. I will never look back.

I left the island 50 years ago but I guess that it never left me.I camped in the rockies and they make a strong statement ,but nothing clings to your soul like the rooling hills of Cape Breton.....Soup Campbell

Thank You!! I have never seen Cape Breton captured as beautifully as this. I lived as a girl just behind the Dobson Yacht club. These pictures take me home and take my breath away!!

i've only been in edmonton in edmonton for about 18 months noe and returned home to sydney in june. it was beautiful and i will return again in about a year. Thanks for letting everyone enjoy are lovly island thru your pics

Thanks for reminding me of our wonderfull history.. but where are the photos of of our elderly people!!.. lots of landacapes but what about all the history that our elders can tell.. photos of scots. irish, mic mac( sorry dont know correct info), polish, lebanise, etc

Regretably, I have been away from the island for almost 10 years now teaching in Calgary, AB. I came across these pictures and they made me as homesick as I was when I first left. I have every intention of returning home but for now these images are the next best thing to being there. Thanks for sharing them. They're good for the soul.
