Vegans and Vegetarians

I guess I just don't get it! Why is it that Vegans and
Vegetarians are so against eat animal based foods yet they
try and make their plant based food taste and look like
an animal based food. For goodness sakes in the Impossible burger
they even have beet juice in it to mimic blood.
To me that is just a bit hypocrital. But then I am just a senial old man.

Correction.. seems Burger King is using a product from new company "Impossible Foods" that also use something for color. impossible burgers are Soy based, and Beyond burgers are Pea based. Sorry, first listing I saw when Impossible burgers came out was it was made with Worthington foods "Griller" patties (soy based)

"Impossible" burger is not the one with beet juice... that is the "Beyond meat" product Don't forget, it's the food companies that make the products, not the vegatarians, and it's not that vegetarians don't like the taste of meat, many reasons not to eat it, and some reasons even benefit meat eaters as well.
