Take a look at the fifth photo in the gallery. It is titled
High Impact Zone. Check out the chair at the end of the concrete
barrier in the left side of the photo. That chair is in what the track calls
a High Impact Zone because if a car has a problem with say a sticking throttle
or lack of brakes it may very well hit that wall. Just because the photographer is
sitting or standing barrier doesn't mean he is safe. The barrier is actually
pretty low and those barriers do move when hit but a high speed object.
That being said I do love that sport for taking pictures. The cars come past
at about 100 mph and only 4 or 5 meters away.
