The Chambers Railroad bridge is the only existing covered railroad bridge in Oregon.
It was built around 1910 to bring down logs to be milled into lumber. The saying was logs
In lumber out.
In 2010 the bridge had deterioted so much that it was a hazard. The city of Cottage Grove thought enough of the bridge to save and restore it. The iron work in front of the bridge represents in true scale the locomotive used
For hauling logs and lumber.
