Hoglet

We found this little toot in the garden today. I put out some cat food for it and it proceeded to munch it's way across the plate. Weighs in at 5oz and is only about 3 weeks old, too young to be away from it's mother. It also was infested with fly eggs (not a good sign). I carefully managed to remove the bulk of the eggs with a pair of tweazers. Thanks to the Hedgehog Helpine for all the helpful information.

Unfortunately the little "Toot" didn't make and died after a couple of day's.

aaahhhhh - so cute and such a pity he didn't make it. I had a similar experience once when I found a titch on Boxing Day - he didn't make it to the 27th
