Houston, Texas, a multicultural metropolis

Houston is a relatively "young" city built on the coastal plain of Texas. There was an influx of residents after the Galveston Hurricane in the early 1900's, during the oil boom in the 1980's and after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. There are flooding and traffic problems here and summer is the longest season.
