Cascada San Rafael

We took a day trip to Cascada San Rafael (1200m). The area is overlooked by Volcán Reventador. We were excited to discover the volcano was actively venting steam. We walked the 1 km trail to the falls. It was a fairly easy walk, at comparatively low elevation.The falls were very beautiful. There was little evidence of human interference, other than the narrow trail and the railing at the overlook.
