Toungoo or Taungu South of Myanmar is located on the Sittoung River. From the late 14th century, it was the center of one of the three chief states of Myanmar. In the late 16th century, under the Pagan kings, it preceded Bago as the capital of a unified Burmese kingdom.
Tangoo is typical for the dry fish and wood activities.
