Kalaw is famous for its colonial architecture and trails. The coolness of the climate is nice for trekking. Farmers are working along the road: gathering the rice, cabbage, chili, sugar-cane,... People from each location are maintaining the road in difficult condition like Zola' s century, for a small amount of money with always smile on their face. The children are participating to the work and don' t go to school to earn some more money for the family.
