Had an amazing time in Grasmere in the Lake district, our hotel was on the edge of Grasmere lake, such an amazing opportunity to stay in such a beautiful hotel surrounded by this breathtaking scenery; we traveled through outstanding landscapes around every corner, everywhere you turned.

I cannot get enough of the beauty of the mountains the colours and light are changing every minute.
Spectacular Autumnal colours made this even more beautiful across the mountains and lakes.
I had a big problem though on the 1st day my trusty Canon 20D died AARGH and I had to resort to the panny, and it didn't get everything that I would have liked.
Another main problem was a coach trip doesn't often involve stopping at these scenic points, it drives past; so most of these images were from the coach window through thick glass (extremely frustrating)
But I have fallen in love with this area and will be going back to visit at every opportunity, this county blew me away with its spectacular beauty and mountain freshness.
Someone made my holiday extra special when I received a call to say Sheila and Kevin was in Grasmere to visit me, we had a wonderful evening with a lot of laughs, thanks Sheila.
