Evening Grosbeak- A Rare Visitor

Evening Grosbeaks don't usually show up this far south in the winter, but this is an irruption year with Grosbeaks, Red Breasted Nuthatches, Pine Siskins, and Redpolls visiting many feeders. I don't know how long they had been at my feeder . I grabbed my camera and started shooting. It looked like a flock of about ten. A squirrel came and they flew to the serviceberry. I got one decent, not perfect, shot. The Cooper's Hawk came and everyone flew away. They haven't come back again. This is only the second time ever I've had any at my feeders. I had one many years ago that I saw for a minute. There have been many local reports of Grosbeaks at people's feeders.
