This is the first time a Clark's Grebe has been sighted in New York. You just have to go and see a once in a lifetime bird. He was in Oswego, way out in the river. One had to shoot through a chain link fence. He was never very close, unfortunately . But it's a lifer for me. People were there from Brooklyn, Pennsylvania, even Michigan. It's a gorgeous bird! A huge storm came through yesterday and the grebe hasn't been sighted again. I may not get another chance for pictures.
