I agree with akmc ..... it is so hot here, it's almost impossible to go outside in the middle of the day the bright sun makes photography very difficult! This is such a cooling shot under the circumstances. It is very beautiful too, well exposed and composed. Well done.

Oh, that makes me *SO* envious today with our forecast temperature of 39 degrees (Celsius, that is). But that aside, I love the starkness of this image, the way it's completely defined by its contrast without any real colour at all. I think that the horizontal layering effect (foreground, clearing beyond, trees, sky) makes it a good composition as well.
