We travelled north of Bend, Oregon to the John Day Fossil Beds, which included beautifully colored hills. Then we followed Hwy 26 as it meandered across the state along scenic rivers and through beautiful gulches. Our final stop was at a national forest campground called Union Creek. We could have spent days exploring this part of Oregon, and maybe some day we will.
