Kas, Turkey: August 2007
View of Kas from the highway. It was a beautiful site.
View of Kas from our dive boat.
Here's a happy camper!
Another view of Kas from the boat. One of the prettiest villages I've seen in Turkey.
The street behind our hotel.
Looking down towards the small pebble beach below our hotel.
They cats really know how to work you for a nibble.
Paraglider coming over the terraces.
Gullet that took tourists out snorkeling and lunching.
Sarcophagus on the shoreline.
View of Kas and the harbor.
This is a sarcaphogus in the middle of town.
There are a number of Lycian tombs above the town, carved from solid rock.
Making gozleme. A flat bread is rolled out, put on the griddle, and stuffed with meats, cheese, or fruits and honey.
Dive shop by our hotel. We could sit outside after diving, ring a bell, and get served by the cafe below!
Hotel pool surrounded by greenery and with a little Med view.
Dinner at sunset--we had a great meal here.
Of course we had one of our usual dinner companions.
This was giant calamari stuffed with seafood in a tomato sauce--it was yummy.
