Loved the photos. First saw Karatas village in 1967 when I was about to become a bride of one of the Karatas sons!! I doubt the villagers had ever seen a European woman before and in order to swim I had to go to the sea in a floorlength kaftan.
Anyway thanks for the memory and you have inspired me to start to write about those long-ago experiences.
