From a Marine Biologist: Hi Carol. Your "wire coral shrimp" looks like Pseudocoutierea edentata, previously reported from the Caribbean side of Colombia. The color is reported as variable but it can be yellow. Notice the long, straight, toothless rostrum, the sturdy legs ending in curved claws and the last abdominal segments having pointed lower surfaces. It has been reported as living on a black coral, Stichopathes gracilis. This black coral is one of the wire-shaped ones, as shown in your photo. Identification of this shrimp to species would require a specimen to see fine details of the spines, but your photo may show a significant range extension for this species.
