Khao Yai, 7th to 9th Jan 2009

A short trip to Khao Yai to picture one of the most beautiful birds of the forest, the Blue Pitta.

Me and my wife spent 2 days in the hides and the Pitta came once, displayed for one magical minute. This was our first camera encounter with the Blue Pitta and despite the short time we was given we managed to grab a few frames. Pairaow took the most beautiful capture, well done my Darling!

When the Pitta wasn't there we still had plenty of entertainment by at least two Orange-headed Thrushes, two Puff-throated Babblers, one male Siberian Blue Robin and a pair of White-rumped Shamas.

Again I don't have much time to processed the pictures and will post them over time.
