Early in the morning when people were still waking up and getting themselves ready for the Simbang Gabi or Misa de Gallo Christmas mass at 4:00am,
fire broke out in one of the houses near the chapel. "Faulty Electrical Wiring" (the usual culprit!) seems to have caused the ceiling of the house
of origin to suddenly burst into flames and therefore was completely gutted down. The owner was away, working in shifts. Thanks to the quick
response of the Valenzuela Fire Department and the Fil-Chinese Firefighters Volunteer Association, Inc., only minimal damage was suffered
by the houses beside it.
