Aida Valenzuela (kamag-anak kaya s'ya ni Pio???) and Benny Rivera, current 'caretakers' of the WW II Memorial.
The brown-roofed structure as seen behind was formerly a WW II Army Barracks, now being used as office space.
According to Aida (owner of the property from where this 1960 Japanese Monument now lies), the inscription says:
"Paalaala ng mga sundalong Japonese na namatay nuong 1944" or "In Memory of the Japanese Soldiers Who Died Here in 1944".
If there's a Pbaser out there who knows how to read Japanese - please feel free to correct and/or add in case I missed something ... (re: the monument)!
