Fr. Gerry, OFM (then the ONLY duly designated English-language Father confessor in the Vatican).

After a loooong day on a walking tour visiting the Major and Minor Basilicas and other churches of significance, Fr. Gerry treated us for
supper at a quaint Chinese restaurant (imagine Chinois speaking Italian!) somewhere along the sidestreets of the Via Cavour. :-9
It was the first time i've ever heard of (let alone eaten) FRIED ice cream!
