Arrived on a rainy Saturday afternoon on September 10 and stayed with the Fatima National Shrine for a week until September 17, 2011.
The Blessed Image is from the new Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe 1923 Orense St., Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.

Under Pope Pius XI in 1835 the Our Lady of Guadalupe was the first to be proclaimed as Patroness
of the Philippines in relation to the country then being a Spanish colony like Mexico.

Later the new Papal Bull issued in 1942 made the Immaculate Conception as the Principal Patroness rendering the Our Lady of Guadalupe
as the secondary "Patroness of the Philippines". Her feast day is still celebrated throughout the archipelago.

The Patroness of Pro-Life is especially invoked by people working against the passage of the Reproductive Health Bill..
