Su flor y su tallo se secan como cualquier otra planta o flor, pero su semilla sigue latente debajo de tierra, pudiendo volver a salir no se sabe cuándo, puede tardar 10 años o más. No tiene regularidad ni cadencia, de ahí su imposibilidad de crecimiento en cautividad, y también la enorme dificultad para encontrarlas en su ambiente natural. Hablar de humedad, temperatura y luz es una tontería.
