Los romanos vivían en lugares altos con amplia vista a su alrededor. No les
importaba ser vistos porque no tenían enemigos en la Península Ibérica. Así durante
muchos siglos. El nacimiento de la ciudad de Acinipo, a 12 kilómetros de la actual
ciudad de Ronda, se desconoce. Los textos de Ptolomeo y Gaius Plinius Secundus
(Plinio el Viejo) ya hacen referencia a esta hermosa y rica ciudad.
