Magical Mystery Car

A 1965 Gilbern GT in Ealing Village, West London.

One of the few cars ever to be made in Wales. Gilbern was a joint venture between a British butcher and a German engineeer. The first car rolled out of the factory in 1959, and it closed for good in 1974 due to lack of financial backing.

Now I have acquired a film scanner (and a couple of days holiday to scan a large backlog of negatives) expect to find a few more film shots here instead the 'making of' digital shots... now that I finally got a good grip of the scanner settings and have plenty of old film cameras to play with, there will be a film-fest!

My firm favourite is my 1970's Hasselblad 500c/m, and I guess, Velvia is as good as it gets in terms of rich colours?

Hasselblad 500c/m with Zeiss 80mm/f2.8 Planar
Fujifilm Velvia 100
processed by Peak Imaging
scanned at 2400 dpi with Unsharp Mask activated on an Epson Perfection V500

other sizes: small medium large original auto
