One of the great models of the past decade has been the 1895 Mery Explosive engine by Morrison and Martin. Shown here on the table, is Earl Wilm's model of that engine. Earl is on the far right in this photo. The rest of the folks here are named "Mery" .... Far left is Gordon Mery, Great Grandson of the original Michael Lawrence Mery who developed the real Mery engine back in 1895. The next fellow in the red shirt, is his son David Mery who would be the Great Great Grandson of Michael Mery, and finally Brian Mery (David's son) the Great Great Great Grandson. They live in the Portland area and stopped by to take a look at the Mery models. Thanks for stopping in to see us and introduce yourselves. Two weeks prior, some of us were at a show in Anacortes, WA and Gordon's brother, Doug Mery (who lives in Pt. Townsend) also stopped by to say hi.
