Electrical panel on Emco-Maier Super 11 #1

This is the "original" panel. A 100uF capacitor is at the top, and another sticking down from the panel. The smaller 30uF capacitor inside the box is wired into the little mill and has nothing to do with the lathe wiring. The blue round thing is the back of the rotary switch. The thing hanging down that looks kinda like a dial indicator is the cap which blew off the vertical capacitor. I removed both 100uF capacitors and installed four 50uF and moved the 30uF down to the vertical position. The square green box below the electrical panel is the wiring block for the motor ... which is what is depicted in the previous picture.

I have a Emco super 11 lathe, and when I bought the Lathe the switch was in pieces. I bought a new switch, when I hooked it up only the slower speed worked and not the faster speed.
