A nice V8

A friend from previous engine shows, Eugene Corl from Reno, shows off his pristine V8. You could hear it 'bark' everywhere in the building. In Eugene's own words ... This is a scratch built 1/3 scale cast iron replica of a small block Chevrolet engine built from patterns and core boxes that I carved. I rammed the molds and poured the cast iron using Dave Gingery's crucible furnace fired with propane. The castings were machined and assembled over a period of seven years. It first ran in April 2004. The engine is wet sleeved with a bore of 1.25" and a stroke of 1.16". I use weed wacker Carburetors fed by a small electric fuel pump. It is full pressure lubricated with the oil pump driven by the distributor gear.
