This model was built by a friend of mine, from castings and drawings which came from Bruce Engineering in the UK. It is called Benson's Vertical Engine, and is a fine Victorian vertical engine from the middle of the 19th century incorporating a forked connecting rod and long piston rod which avoided the use of slide bars and crosshead.
