Spring Cleaning

90% of this beaver pond is still iced in but I was fortunate to catch this beaver having a spring grooming.
Early March is more like late April here this year. If this is indeed spring it's the earliest I've ever experienced.

Wonderful detail, depth and POV for this capture. Beavers are very rare where I live but are amazing animals. Most of the beavers I have seen are in western states like Colorado. VV++

Wonderful catch of this lone beaver indulging in its ritualistic spring cleaning.......
the image exudes a crispness akin to the chill in the air, enhanced by the marshy hues that envelop the scene......V

What fun to see a beaver out and about, even though it is so early in the year.

Interesting find. We got 3" of fresh snow today after not having any since mid-January!

a sympathetic image, as a little splash must be refreshing after time in its muddy lodge...a top quality image as well, crisp as the pond air, and profiting from the marshy tones..

This guy likes a cold bath! And seems able, thus far at least, to handle the change to the seasons surely wrought by climate change.

The weather has been a bit odd this year. Cool catch of this guy.

How fortunate to catch this great shot of the beaver. Spring is pretty much here in DC, and the cherry blossoms should reach peak bloom around the 19th, amazingly early.

Such a special moment!
This is very beautiful with the pastel tones!

Nice with this low perspective and depth of field. I like the tones.
