This creature was seen in a pond at the south east corner of Prospect Rd. and Sharppoint Dr. in Fort Collins, CO. He was quite a ways away and hence the poor quality of the picture after being blown up and sharpened. At first I thought it to be a Mallard gone bad, but it also has some markings similar to an American Wigeon. Pictures similar to this hybrid can be found on the web.
