Brewers Blackbird4.jpg

Sharp Point Drive - Fort Collins, CO

In a cattle feedlot east of the Sharp Point Ponds in Fort Collins, CO this Brewer's Blackbird was seen standing among the cows. Since Brewer's Blackbirds and Rusty Blackbirds are the same size and close in coloration it may be hard to tell the difference. The Brewer's Blackbird has a slightly smaller head with it eyes appearing to be set higher on head, it has a more potbellied look and longer tail than the Rusty Blackbird. The Brewer's Blackbird's tail is shorter and flatter than the Grackle.
