We live near the Nevada border, which isn't special. When driving to Oregon we took secondary highways through the equally sparsely-populated northeast California to Lava Beds National Monument. This brought us to the very rural Oregon border country. Then we drove quickly over the border to Klamath Falls. I wish now that I had chosen to turn west at Susanville so that we wouldn't have missed Burney Falls. This album has 25 images.
