This is the lens that I most often leave on my camera (Nikon D3).
Very usable at f/2, very sharp by f/2.8. Easier to carry around than comparable zooms (for those who care!). Suprisingly diverse uses: Portraits, landscapes, macro... great for all. Wonderful build and a pleasure to manually focus (more so than the typical manual focusing of the Nikon AF-S lenses). Images beautifully rendered. Some pictures with the Zeiss 100/2 here:

I recently acquired it and it's fast becoming my favourite lens. Not only great for macro but superb as an all purpose lens. Please view some fashion samples here.
