Definitely value for money. The sharpness can definitely be improved, but overall a great lens for me to learn with.

Best value for the money. Newest model to date has 1:2 macro ability @ 300mm giving around 3' working distance. Well constructed, but light weight for a zoom of this mm. Resonable sharpness with well balanced color, & nice contrast @ f8 and above. Only downside is bokeh in heavy backlight/contrast situations.
