This lens is a great (and relatively inexpensive) complement to the 18-55 kit lens. The light weight and zoom range is good for travel. I use this lens more and more instead of my primes, except for poorly lit situations or when I need to limit the depth of focus. Well done, Pentax. http://www.pbase.com/wau/pentax
