I bought this camera about a year ago and have been happy with it until recently. The sensor seems to require alot of cleaning or frequent cleaning which can be a pain. It takes wonderful images and it was a breeze to use - but I think it's time to move up the ladder.

The price of this camera makes it an attractive option for first time DSLR buyers (in fact it is the lowest price DSLR in USA right now because of the $100 rebate by Pentax).

I have also ordered this camera after reading several reviews online, from what I've read the only drawbacks of this camera are:
1- The name :) (not much of a "technical" issue)
2- Only 3 point AF in DL
3- Slower Autofocus compared to the competition (especially for fast moving objects)
4- Limited buffer for burst mode shooting (allows for 5 JPEGs or 3 RAWs in continuous mode), which is again inferior compred to the competition

Despite these issues, I still think it's an excellent bargain for the price it is now available at in USA (around $400 after $100 rebate).
