It's small enough to fit in a medium sized pocket, which is why I bought mine, and to supplement my C-700 and C-750, which, with filter adapter tubes (essential to prevent accident damage to their lenses) have become a bit too big to be pocketable.

I am amazed at how long the batteries last, but then I don't use the LCD screen more often than necessary. One snag that I have noticed with the C-220Z is that after I gone to full zoom, when I zoom back out to a wider angle, the viewfinder responds but the lens does not, and the result is just a small centre section of the view I was expecting. My solution is to switch off the camera and then back on if I have used full zoom.
