Nikon Coolpix 900 Digital Camera Sample Photos and Specifications

We purchased several Nikon Coolpix 900s swivel digital cameras back in 1998. The cameras shipped with 8mb compact flash cards (which we never used), and listed at $999.95. We purchased them online new for $500 from a reputable dealer. The camera was about the best non-dSLR in its day, with excellent colour reproduction, relatively low noise, and minimum lag time (remember, compared to other digital cameras in of its day). We purchased 45mb. flash cards (about the largest we could find back then) at a price of about $250 ! Early on, people whined about battery life, but after showing the 'lost sheep' the way of recharable AA batteries, they were joyful at how long the batteries would last on a charge. *Even after using professional Nikon DSLR bodies, I think the Nikon Coolpix 900s, proved to be an excellent camera! I must note, that this is also the camera that taught us not to deal with the non reputable NEW YORK dealers. I lucked out and cancelled my order before getting ripped off. When dealing with NEW YORK electronic stores.. be sure to check out the dealer before making a purchase. The Nikon Coolpix 900s.. a great old digital camera!
