Contax S2 Film Camera Sample Photos and Specifications

I recently purchased the Contax S2 Camera at a phenominal price in great condition. This Camera is a gem, it is the Bentley of cameras. It weighs 20.2 oz and has a very solid feel to it. It is a completely manual camera which means that there is no motor, no auto focus, no ae or ae lock or anything else save a very nice on board spotmeter that runs on two button cell batteries. If those batteries fail the meter doesn't work but the rest of the camera continues to work. You see everything is mechanical. The film advance lever is buttery smooth and the top shutter speed is 1/4000. The flash sinc is a nice 1/250. I got this camera because I wanted to think more about what I am doing rather than just shoot shoot shoot. So long as there is 35mm film around this camera will likely last forever or at least untill I can't hold a camera in my hands anymore. The S2, like all Contax/Yashica cameras takes the superb Carl Zeiss lenses as well as the very good Yasica ML lenses and third party lenses as well.
