just bought a590 IS. i couldn't see a lot of difference in the a1000 except the a1000 has 2 more MP. ok for $30 not a big deal to spend. However i found the grip on the 590 a lot more comfortable....the 100 is flush. Now looking at the other comparative models- the SX110. 9mp (so in between) but much longer zoom. also i think it's body/grip is like the a1000 and a2000. i think i'll add the SX-10 or SX1 as my "advanced" P&S. They have digic 4 and the SX-1 has a CMOS censor !!!!!! I guess what i am saying is the A590, 1000, 2000 and the SX110 seems to be minor differences.

please feel free to inform me if i am not correct It is sooooo difficult to compare so many almost similar cameras.

any way, cant wait to drop my batts in :)
