yes it ant cheap....Worth every Penny...... Edge & Corner sharpness is mind boggling.....the real bad thing with the 35L is that one wants to never use there zooms no more.

A very sharp, fast and special L prime. Honestly it is an odd lens in my 30D and may take you a bit of time to get use to it focal length, but it is my favourable lens as well. It is my "must carry" lens for all scenarios.
