Circa 1846 Or So...

Some guy with a camera, way back in the infancy
of photography.
Nadir, Daguerre, Niepce?
...Hmmm, looks like it could be someone famous
but I just don't know.
Vandals evidently removed the title plaque (those bastards!)
but it was in a strange language anyway.
This painting is credited to someone famous
but it might just be a forgery!
Anyone familiar with this style?

PS: Lousy brushstrokes and a pretty gaudy frame, huh?

other sizes: small medium original auto

And in another 100 years or so, someone will be hanging this in their studio with a similar caption. Wonder what the camera will look like then? Fun shot, Dan.

I don't think the Getty has me in their collection. Must be someone really famous!

Gaudy frame? Whatever do you mean? ;) At least it's not boring!
