The Desert at Night 2016

Every fall, I make a pilgrimage to the desert southwest of the USA to make landscape photos and camp out beneath the stars. At the time of the new moon (and a couple of days before and after) the skies are the darkest and the stars make their brightest appearance. This is the best time to capture images of the night sky.
