A September visit to the Big Room. This 1.25 mile trail is the most popular in the caverns. I found out that tripods are allowed so I was able to stop down and shoot longer exposures using only the existing light the NPS has installed. Shooting RAW files, I chose 2400 degrees Kelvin for processing that looked the most "natural" in this artificially lit underground world.
Nicely done and not easy to accomplish. I need to revisit after 12 years my gear has improved. I used a large flashlight to paint light on some features. -V-
