A griend is a swampy field planted with pollard willows. The branches of these willows have recently been harvested. They harvest the branches every 4 or 5 years. On the right there are some harvested branches. Between the older pollard willows there are sticks in the ground that become new pollard willows. In the background a restored barn where wicker workers in earlier times stayed in bad conditions for 6 days a week. The barn is built on a higher level to prevent the barn from being flooded by the nearby rivers
