Before my tour of duty ended in Germany, I was contacted by an American Doctor living in Bountiful Utah. He arranged for me to pick up and deliver to him a new Karman Ghia convertible. I had access to it for about a month before dropping it off in Bremen, Germany for transport to New Jersey. When I returned to the States, I picked up the car in New Jersey and drove it to him in Bountiful. He gave me the fare for a bus ride home from Bountiful to Long Beach.
