Cricket (1988)

This was on the occasion of my batting highlight as a small club cricketer. I think I am right in saying I made 43. I can't remember how I got out though. Nigel, pictured with me, got over 50 (76 rings a bell), so between us we contributed the lions share of the score. 1988 makes me 22.

I think the reason you can't remember how you got out is beacause I don't think you did; I think you and Nigel were both "not out" when Moulescombe and District Cricket Club's innings closed at 140 for 6, after a load of top order numpties had got us to something like 30 for 6. Don't blame me, I wasn't playing that day.

I claim credit for the photo, taken with my beloved Praktica BC1, which I still have. I doubt the film stock would have been anything more exciting than Kodak Gold. 100.

I don't suppose this is the right forum to say this, but Nigel is coming to Ludlow in the Spring for us to spend some time, including taking in a race meeting.. Arrangements still to be made, and I will link him in to this.
