BLUE MOON-December was the Blue Moon month, a second oppertunity (for those who missed the first) to do some full moon shooting. The location turned out to Mare Island and the subjest is one of the island's most visible markers. The rising moon peaks out from behind the former power plant's smoke stack. Sodium Vapor lights illuminate the moss covered tress in the foreground and as one friend pointed out, "It almost looks like a lighthouse". So 2009 is a wrap, 2010 is hear!
